Ava Alternative School is a subsidiary of the Ava R-1 School District. The purpose of Ava Alternative School is to provide an environment that will enhance the educational process of students who cannot be successful in the regular high school setting. Students at Ava Alternative School will be given the opportunity to earn their high school credits in a small group setting and continue to progress toward a regular high school diploma. It is the goal of Ava Alternative School to transition students back into the regular setting, if possible.
